SRKay bets big on Innovation

History keeps telling us about the changes that are coming in future. However, most of us prefer to remain happy and complacent under the shroud of ignorance and blame everyone around us when the change hits us hard. My experience has shown me two kinds of people who matter in our society; the one who leads and innovates and the other who follows. There is no difference between these two set of people except the visions they harbor and the choices they make. Such leaders never fail, because each attempt they make pushes them above the rest of the crowd. They are the change agents. They are the one who creates the history. The leader’s mind is always filled with ideas and how they are getting restless to get them through.
When I started SRKay Consulting Group, with a strong financial backing from a prominent business house, my thought was to create a platform for a lot of young leaders who I could nurture to create several more ventures in future. This chain would help not only creating more jobs but also a great nation with a lot of innovation that we could participate.

After working with my team at SRKay for more than eight months and taking no vacation or weekend off, we all worked tirelessly to create ideas and ventures that are original. We discussed, had false starts, failed a few times, felt down and out and the eight months passed by as if we just started.
We all feel happy to see the vision we had is slowly taking shape in the form of “FIVE” innovative technology driven businesses that can make a difference. We spoke to hundreds of people, took ideas, worked on their thoughts, but ultimately the theory of Henry Ford came out to be true “If you ask people what they want, they will ask for faster horses.” And in the end, these ideas were entirely homegrown and came out of our experience and passion.
Today, my leaders will announce the launch dates of each of my IP-based technology venture, and the countdown will start. It starts with SerenaWay followed by SteerHigh, CommonVIU, Kleveron and then Aptitude Labs. My services venture ScrumStart has already taken off successfully and will now find its footing with passing time.
Today, I will create few more good leaders and start walking with them on the path of innovation and adventure. I can see them becoming successful and creating immense opportunities for a lot of people and businesses they would serve globally.

Alok Kumar

Alok Kumar is Managing Partner of SRKay Consulting group, a private equity company, nurturing innovative ventures. Alok also serves on the board of ICCL (Indian Clearing Corporation Limited - A subsidiary of BSE- Bombay Stock Exchange) as an external advisor for technology and information security. Prior to this, Alok had been Managing Director of Sears IT & Management Services India Private Limited (SHI) since its inception in December 2009 and served in the same position till very recently. Having been in senior IT management positions in Fortune 500 companies, Alok has won several national and international awards. Alok is instrumental in planning and setting up SHI and thereafter growing it to a multi-locational thousand-plus people organization. Over the last five years, with his strategic vision, Alok helped SHI grow roots in India, develop and support technology applications and infrastructure across core mainframe, cutting edge e-Commerce and big data technologies. With his unique people-oriented transformational leadership style, Alok turned SHI into one of the most valued investments of Sears, garnering great ROIs, and creating value much beyond cost arbitrage. Under his tutelage, SHI has filed two patents and is recognized widely for its best practices in various areas, the latter, currently featured in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) case studies. SHI also became a CMMI Level 3, PCMM Level 3, and ISO 20000 certified organization. Alok is a widely acclaimed corporate leader in India today. He regularly participates and leads various forums as a keynote speaker and is an author of several books in different genres. Alok has several awards to his credit. He is particularly known in the industry for his people management skills and innovative ideas in improving the productivity of employees through unique people practices. Books and Papers: Alok is an established author, with three books to his credit. Alok’s third and latest book, a novel, “The Spy from Unaula” is a 2015 publication. A handwriting analysis enthusiast, Alok collaborated with his wife Nandani on the book, “Handwriting Speaks” in 2006. “Value Sourcing – Future of IT Outsourcing” was co-authored with Keith Sherwell (currently CIO, Altice USA) and was released in 2013. Alok also researched and published two whitepapers: a. “Creating next generation captives” talks about the best practices that are helping generate higher value from the IT company captives.
