Happiness Map – The pillars of a happy life
All of us acknowledge that happiness is not about a destination but a journey. In this journey, we encounter all kinds of feelings including pain, defeat, happiness, emotions, fatigue, stress and much more.
Once we come to this world, we will have to go through this journey and encounter all these feelings and outcomes throughout our life. I call this balance as ‘The law of average’. It all boils down to how we move the average of our life up towards happiness instead of downwards towards stress and unhappiness.
I would like to use my experiences to this effect and put down a map of happiness which if followed would certainly help us move the average upwards towards happiness. This map has five pillars comprising of the simple elements of passion, health, ethics, luck and priority.
“ How you move the average of our life up towards happiness instead of downwards towards stress and unhappiness is of utmost importance“
While we can go on with the list of items which can be added beyond this five, I have found just these five to be a complete set of the happiness map which I myself use and have received immense benefits out of in my own life.
In subsequent blogs, we will discuss in detail on each of these pillars with examples on how the balance between these five pillars have brought happiness to individuals, families, societies and nations.
What does happiness mean to you?
